The winter flew by (except when we thought it would never end—how are the people of Westeros going to survive it?!), and you know what that means: Our submissions period is now open! We’re accepting fiction, nonfiction (including memoir), and poetry from now until September 1, 2019. Details can be found on our Submissions page. Drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. We can’t wait to see what you’ve got for us for Issue Three. Good luck!
Last night we held a reception celebrating the release of Issue Two. Our friends at the Arc of Yates were kind enough to host. They showcased some of the incredible pieces made by the artists at SkylArc Studio, and provided food, drink, and merry music! We loved mixing and mingling with old friends, new friends, authors, and poets.
The best moment of the night for us was when we were able to present a big fat check (for one thousand dollars!) to the Arc. We couldn’t do Bluff & Vine without them, so it means so much to us to be able to give back to this important institution.
Check out all the pictures from the night here!
Thanks to reporter Susan Clark Thomas, Bluff & Vine was featured in the Finger Lakes Times on Sunday, November 11. Check out the article here!
We’re thrilled to announce the publication of Issue Two of Bluff & Vine! This issue includes twenty five pieces of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, that evoke the essence of life in and around Keuka Lake, and photography from our friends at SkylArc Studio at The Arc of Yates.
Grab a copy (or a dozen!) on Amazon. Want to buy a copy in your favorite bookstore? Ask them to order and stock it! It will be available on the shelves at our favorite bookstore, Longs’ Cards and Books, very soon.
Mark your calendars, too, for our Issue Two reception: December 10, 2018, from 5:30 to 7:30pm at SkylArc Studio at The Arc of Yates, 235 North Ave in Penn Yan. Mix and mingle with authors and artists, and add autographs to your copy of Bluff & Vine!

We couldn’t have put out Bluff & Vine without the help and support of our dedicated consulting editors, Sarah Thompson and R.W. Webb; thank you for your sharp eyes, your canny advice, and your unending good humor.
We are also indebted to the team at the Arc of Yates and SkylArc, particularly Doug Fleet, for their enthusiasm for this undertaking; you created a feedback loop of positive energy with each meeting and communication.
And thank you, always, to our endlessly supportive families, friends, and loved ones, near and far: We can’t wait to hear what you think of our first issue. Post a comment here, or add a review on Amazon. We look forward to hearing from you!
We’re opening our inbox for submissions on June 1st!
